Breakability of a Manganese Dendrite

What’s better than a Manganese Dendrite.

Break it in two, and get a double, with a mirror image.

With a sandstone rock, the rock is formed in layers, usually at the bottom of a body of water.  When you look at a rock, you can see the layers.  Sometimes when you pick up a dendrite, it breaks along the layers, and you get a double.  (you can also smash them, chisel around the edges, or carefully pry them apart to get the effect)

However, when dropped, they tend to chip off at the sides, break in half, or break at a seam.

Also, some rocks, when wet, will break along a seam as well.

Try to keep your Manganese Dendrites dry.
