Main feature on a Manganese Dendrite

Usually, on a Manganese Dendrite, one side, or one section on one side is better than the others.   Sometimes it’s hard to figure out which is the best side, but usually that’s a good problem to have.

Once you figure out which is the main feature, you need to decide which direction the rock should sit to display the main feature.  Can it stand on it’s own in the right orientation, or does it need to be propped up on the bottom to get the feature to show.  Does the dendrite need a stand to properly display it?

Also, are there other sides of the dendrite that you want visible at the same time.

Decisions, decisions.

Smaller stones can be picked up and turned around easily.  Boulders weighing 5 kilos or 50 kilos are a little harder to pick up and turn around.
